Hello, it's nice to see that people is still counting on me even though it's been a while since anything happened.

Currently im still working on the game, im learning Actionscript 3 better so that i can make the game more advanced. Right now i can say that Link in this Zelda will be able to use a variety of spells.

Currenly the only playable thing i have is a demo i showed up in school. But it's in Swedish so im not planning to put it here..
However, this demo doesnt contain anything out of ordinary.. its just a showcase i used in school.

I've also begun studies at a university, so the game wont progress as fast as it could have.
The project is not abandoned yet!

Current progress: Learning more of Actionscript 3 and more

Expected release date for the game: Far away

I have another test-engine of the game online at this very moment.. but it is in swedish.

It will take a long time before the full version comes out, i will start mapping and scripting the real deal this year, but only if you're lucky you may see the full version next year...
But don't cry ;)
I will post improved versions of the engine so that everyone will get a taste on how the real game is going to be like.

Can't wait for the next beta, just out of curiosity, where do you get your sprites from?

I get them from different sprite sites, like shyguykindom and sprites domain, search "zelda sprite sheet", "link sprite sheet" or something similar at google and you will find lots of stuff

Feeling a little demotivated? I felt that too, what helped me though was to make a table of things to put in each stage and tick em off one by one, for some reason it compels me to complete each box. Try that and see what happens.

Personally I think you should make another beta, it would allow us to give further feedback. Well, even if you decide not to make another beta, please update us on the progress, you have a promising game in the works.

I had to work for a week and I hadn't access to internet...

I'd use option 2, Sprite graphics.

For the saving option, the Ultra Platformer Tutorial in the tutorials section has a chapter on that, I haven't really studied it yet but perhaps it could be of some help.

I first saw this while it was under judgment. I was surprised how popular this got. I went through a couple times and I've got some suggestions.

BUGS : Even if you don't kill the first retard you get attacked. He
should be holding a rupee that you need to get,
The end text says "you" where it should say "your".
Collisions are a little weird too, sometimes you can walk through bushes.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS: Toad's rupee should be red (twenty), the amount of
rupees you need should be higher. But there should be more hidden around,
if any of the necessary rupees are red you can put up to 19 other rupees
that you don't need for bonus points, or maybe an easter eggs if you get
them all. ;) If you take all the Trace Bitmaped Sprites you have
put them on the first frame of a new flash document and publish it as a
24 Bit w/ transparency PNG image then use that as a transparent
spritesheet. It'll save disk space, and make for faster loading.
My vote is for sprites. Maybe from "A Link to the Past" or "Four Swords"

CODE HINTS:
_root._quality = "LOW";
on your first frame will set the game to low quality to begin with.
"MEDIUM", "HIGH" & "BEST" are other parameters for _quality.

var savefile:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal("NameOfYourSave File");
to creates a shared object in local storage. You probably want this on the first frame.

savefile.data.rupees = 10;
to set a variable in your save file. Use these variables like any other variables.

if(savefile.data.rupees == null){
If this isn't set or another variable that's set at the begining of the game isn't set. There probably isn't a save file, then you can initilize the variable without overwriting old saved data.
